Why We Built EventConnective

"The best professionals shouldn't have to out-spend their competitors. They should just have to out-work them."

We've been in the event industry for years. We've watched talented professionals get buried under fake reviews and pay-to-play directories. We've seen hosts get burned by vendors with polished profiles but no real track record.

So we built the platform we always wanted — one where every review is backed by a real event, where trust is earned through verified work, and where the details and the people truly matter.

  • Built by event pros who lived the problem
  • No advertising, no paid placements — ever
  • Reviews only from confirmed, real events
  • Community-powered accountability

Trust That Can't Be Faked.

Six verification steps ensure every review on EventConnective comes from a real event with confirmed participation. No fake reviews. No paid placements. Just earned trust.

6 Verification Steps
2 Party Confirmation
0 Fake Reviews
100% Earned Trust

The Verified Event Chain

Every review on our platform travels through all six of these steps. There are no shortcuts.

1
Create Your Event
Host Action

Hosts create an event with details like date, venue, and event type. The event starts in a "Pending" state and is visible to professionals you choose to invite.

Supports all event types — weddings, corporate events, birthdays, galas, non-profits, private parties, and more.
● Event Status: Pending
2
Tag Your Vendors
Host Action

Browse the directory and tag the professionals working your event — DJs, photographers, caterers, florists, and more. Each professional receives a formal invitation to confirm their participation.

You can tag multiple professionals across different categories. They each receive a separate confirmation request.
● Invitations Sent to Pros
3
Vendors Confirm
Pro Action

Professionals review their invitation and confirm participation. Both parties are now formally linked to the event — creating a verified connection before the event even happens.

This pre-event confirmation is what separates EventConnective from every other platform. The link is established before money changes hands.
● Connection Verified · Both Parties Linked
4
Event Completed
Host Action

After the event date passes, the host marks the event as completed — confirming it actually took place. No event? No verification. No fake reviews. Full stop.

Hosts have a 30-day window post-event to mark completion. Events not marked complete cannot proceed through the chain.
● Event Status: Completed
5
Host Verifies Vendors
Host Action

The host confirms that each confirmed professional actually performed their services at the event. This prevents professionals from claiming events they didn't attend or participate in.

If a pro didn't show up or perform, the host can flag this — triggering a review process and protecting the platform's integrity.
● Services Confirmed by Host
6
Fully Verified — Reviews Unlocked
Both Parties

Professionals verify their own participation. The event is now fully verified. Trust scores update, badges are awarded, and verified reviews can be submitted by both sides.

Reviews submitted at this stage carry a permanent "Verified Event" badge and cannot be removed by the professional or purchased away by competitors.
● Fully Verified · Reviews Unlocked · Badges Awarded

Your Journey on EventConnective

Whether you're hosting an event or building your professional career, here's exactly what your experience looks like.

For Event Hosts

Planning a wedding, party, or corporate event

1
Create a free account
Sign up as a host. No credit card, no commitment. Set your profile in under 2 minutes.
2
Post your event
Add your event details — date, type, location, guest count, and what vendors you need.
3
Browse verified professionals — or invite your own
Search by category, location, and verified event history. Every pro you see has been vetted. Already have a vendor you love who isn't on EventConnective yet? Invite them to join your event chain — they'll receive an invitation to sign up and confirm their participation so your event can be fully verified.
4
Message and book your pros
Use the built-in messaging to discuss your event, schedule consultations, and lock in participation. Once all your pros have confirmed their participation — whether they found you on EventConnective or you invited them directly — your event chain is set. Before confirming, make sure you've sorted your agreement and payment directly with each pro. What to cover before you confirm →
5
Leave verified reviews
After the event, your review is permanently attached to a real, confirmed event. It means something.
6
Return with confidence
Your event history builds over time. Re-booking pros you've worked with before is one click.

For Event Professionals

Your complete journey — from first login to a growing verified reputation

1
Build your profile
Create your account and set up your professional profile — your bio, services, portfolio photos, service area, starting price range, and social links. This is your public face on the platform. The more complete it is, the better your first impression. No credit card required to start.
2
Collect your social proof
Your application is built around real proof — not paperwork. Invite up to 10 past clients to submit verified reviews, and up to 10 fellow professionals to endorse you. Endorsers must use a professional business email — this keeps the system honest. You need at least 3 client reviews and 2 peer endorsements to submit.
3
Add your credentials (optional but recommended)
Upload any credentials you hold — insurance, business registration, licences, certifications, or health permits. Each verified credential adds a visible badge to your profile. Hosts notice. Profiles with credentials receive more inquiries.
Your documents are used only to verify your credentials and are never sold, shared, or disclosed to any third party — ever. Only the badge appears publicly on your profile.
4
Our team reviews your application
Every application is seen by a real person — not an algorithm. We review your collected reviews, endorsements, and credentials for authenticity. You'll receive email updates at each stage. If we need anything, we'll tell you exactly what and give you the chance to resubmit.
5
Choose your plan and go live
Once approved, your profile exists but is completely private — no one can find you, view your profile, or access your profile link. You are invisible to every host on the platform. The Pro Plan — $19/month or $190/year — is what flips the switch. It unlocks full search visibility, incoming leads, direct messaging, your consultation scheduler, availability calendar, and full profile analytics. The moment you subscribe, your profile goes live and hosts can start finding you.
✦ Founding Pro — Limited Time
Apply now and lock in early access, priority review, and founding member pricing before we open to the public. This offer won't last.
6
Get discovered — on merit, not money
Hosts searching for your category find you based on your trust tier, response rate, verified event history, and how current your availability calendar is. No paid placements. No shortcuts. The pros who show up most are the ones who've earned it.
7
Confirm a booking — the Verified Event Chain begins
When you accept a booking, that event is created on the platform and your participation is confirmed on your profile. Other pros working the same event can be added and confirm too. The chain is now open — and everything from here gets permanently attached to this event record. Before confirming, make sure your agreement and payment with the host are settled directly. What to cover before you confirm →
8
Work the event — then the chain closes
After the event, both the host and pro confirm it happened. This unlocks the review window. The host's verified review, your attendance record, and any peer endorsements from co-workers all get permanently sealed to that event. It can never be removed — and it compounds. Every verified event makes the next booking easier.
Host confirms event completion
Host's verified review permanently attached
Co-worker endorsements unlock (pro-to-pro)
Trust score updates — tier may advance
Chain sealed — record is permanent and tamper-proof

How Trust Tiers Work

Every professional earns a trust tier — Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum — based on their verified track record. Here's what goes into it.

The exact formula stays private — so the only path to Gold or Platinum is doing real, consistent, reliable work at real events.

Why Traditional Platforms Fail

Most review platforms let anyone leave a review — whether they hired the professional or not. This leads to fake five-stars, competitor sabotage, and a marketplace where marketing budget matters more than actual skill.

EventConnective's Verified Event Chain requires multi-party confirmation before any review can be submitted. Both host and professional must confirm the event happened and that services were rendered.

The result: every review on our platform is backed by a real, verified event. Your trust tier reflects genuine performance — not marketing spend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about how the platform works.

The Verified Event Chain is our 6-step process that ensures every review on EventConnective is backed by a real, confirmed event. Both the host and professional must confirm the event happened before any review can be submitted.
Pre-event steps (creating the event, confirming pros, and locking in participation) happen on your timeline. Post-event verification typically takes 2–5 days as both parties confirm completion and participation. You have a 30-day window after the event date.
During Step 5 (Host Verifies Vendors), you can flag that a professional did not perform their services. This triggers a dispute process. The professional cannot receive a verified review, and the incident is recorded on their profile pending investigation.
No. Ranking on EventConnective is determined entirely by verified events, review quality, trust score, and recency. We do not accept payment for placement, promoted spots, or boosted visibility. Ever.
Yes. Creating an account and accessing core features is completely free for both hosts and professionals. The EventConnective Pro Plan gives professionals full search visibility, a verified profile, and a complete suite of business tools.
After two professionals co-work a verified event, they can endorse each other. Endorsements count toward trust scores and are displayed on profiles. You can only endorse someone you've shared a verified event with — no cold endorsements allowed.
Our application process collects verified client reviews and peer endorsements from professionals you've worked with, plus any credentials you hold. Our team reviews every application before your profile goes live in search results.
Absolutely. EventConnective supports weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, galas, non-profit events, private parties, concerts, conferences, and more. If it's an event that needs professionals, we support it.

What makes this review different
1
Real Identity Required
Full name required — no anonymous reviews, ever. The reviewer is a verified EventConnective host on record.
2
Locked to a Real Event
Every review is permanently attached to a confirmed event with a unique Chain ID. Both parties independently verified it happened — before the review window even opened.
3
Event Photos — Not Stock
Photos are submitted as part of the event record and tied to this specific booking. Timestamped, real, from the actual event.
4
Five-Dimension Rating
Punctuality, Communication, Professionalism, Value, and Adaptability are each rated independently. Impossible to inflate with a single generic star.
5
Pro Can Respond Publicly
The professional can reply — give context, say thank you, address a concern. Neither party can edit or delete the review after submission.
6
Flagging & Moderation
Any user can flag a review for moderator review. Our trust team investigates every flag. Reviews are only removed for genuine guideline violations — not because someone didn't like what was said.
7
Reviewer Location Shown
City and state are displayed so hosts can see where the experience happened and judge relevance to their own event.
8
Community Helpful Voting
The most substantive, detailed reviews float to the top based on community votes. Generic one-liners don't dominate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything hosts and professionals want to know about how reviews work.

Once your event is verified by both parties, your review window opens immediately and stays open for 7 days. A reminder is sent on Day 4. Submitting your review promptly while the details are fresh is both encouraged and expected — it is part of the Community Participation Standard all members agree to. Reviews submitted after the 7-day window may not be accepted. See our Terms of Service for full details.
No. A verified review can only be removed by EventConnective if it violates our community guidelines — for example, if it contains false statements, discriminatory language, or evidence of bad-faith submission. A professional cannot pay to remove a review, appeal a review simply because it is negative, or bury it through advertising. Legitimate reviews stay — positive and negative alike.
No. Reviews are specifically tied to events created and verified through EventConnective. This is by design — it ensures every review is traceable to a real event. If you hired a professional outside EventConnective and want their work recognised, the professional would need to join the platform for future bookings.
If a professional confirmed on your event but did not show up or perform their services, you can flag this during Step 4. The event will not reach "Fully Verified" status for that vendor, meaning the review is not unlocked. However, you can file a dispute and submit a formal no-show record, which is attached to the professional's profile following investigation.
Yes — the review system is two-way. After a fully verified event, professionals can also leave a review of the host. This includes ratings for organisation, communication, and reliability. Host reviews are visible to other professionals, creating accountability on both sides of the marketplace.
Yes — verified reviews are the highest-impact factor in a professional's trust tier alongside reliability. Quality and recency matter more than volume. A professional with 10 recent, detailed 5-star reviews will rank higher than one with 50 older, generic ones.

A Marketplace Built on Earned Trust.

We started with a simple belief: every review should be real, every rating should be earned, and every professional should build their reputation on verified work — not on who pays the most for placement. In an era of AI-generated content, fake accounts, and pay-to-win directories, we are building the industry's first trust standard that actually means something.

      We're Fixing a Broken Industry

The event industry runs entirely on reputation. A great photographer, a flawless DJ, a catering team that delivers under pressure — these professionals build careers one great event at a time. But the platforms they rely on have made it nearly impossible to prove that track record in a way people can actually trust.

AI-generated reviews flood directories. Fake accounts inflate ratings overnight. "Award-winning" badges go to whoever pays for them. Talented newcomers get buried behind pros who spent more on ads. Hosts get burned by vendors who look great on paper but have never been verified by a single real event.

We built EventConnective because this problem is getting worse, not better — and the event industry deserves better. We believe ethical professionals and discerning hosts shouldn't have to wade through noise to find each other. We built the infrastructure to make trust verifiable, permanent, and impossible to buy.

      The Old Way

      • AI bots and fake accounts inflate ratings overnight
      • "Award-winning" badges sold to anyone who pays for them
      • Top placement goes to the highest ad spend, not the best pro
      • No way to verify a pro actually showed up and did the work
      • Hosts have no reliable signal — just stars that can be manufactured

      ✦ The EventConnective Way

      • Every review is locked behind 6-step verification — bots can't pass
      • Ranking is 100% earned performance — ad spend buys nothing here
      • Both host and pro independently confirm every event before reviews unlock
      • Verified pros can share their profile as social proof — on their website, social media, and marketing materials
      • Trust scores give hosts a deep, tamper-proof signal no other platform offers

Beyond Stars — A Badge That Actually Means Something

Every verified professional on EventConnective earns a trust tier — Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum — based on what actually matters: how hosts rate them, how reliably they show up and communicate, what peers who worked alongside them say, and how consistent their verified event history is.

Hosts see the tier badge at a glance — a signal that tells them far more than a star rating ever could. The exact formula stays private intentionally, so the only path to Gold or Platinum is doing real, consistent, reliable work at real events. There are no shortcuts.

      • Host reviews and reliability carry the most weight
      • Pro endorsements only count from verified co-workers
      • Reliability tracks attendance, responsiveness, and no cancellations
      • Verified events are the qualifier — quality determines tier
      • Cannot be purchased, boosted, or gamed — ever

      Four Values. Every Decision.

These aren't poster-on-the-wall values. They're the filter we use for every feature, every hire, and every business decision.

      Trust Over Everything

Every feature we build starts with one question: does this make the platform more trustworthy? If the answer isn't clearly yes, we don't ship it. Trust is not a feature — it's the product.

      Earned, Not Bought

Reputation on EventConnective comes from verified work, not advertising spend or pay-to-play placements. The best professionals rise because of their craft — and that's the only way we want it.

      Transparency First

Clear pricing, honest reviews, and open scoring formulas. We tell you exactly how things work because you deserve to know — and because hidden mechanics breed distrust.

      Community Driven

We're building for the pros and hosts who make events happen. Their feedback shapes every decision we make. We don't build for growth metrics — we build for the people in this industry.

      Small Team. Big Mission.

We're a fully remote team of builders who care deeply about the events industry and the people who make it run.

Based in Dallas, Built for Everywhere

EventConnective started in the Dallas-Fort Worth event community — one of the most active event markets in the United States. We watched local photographers, DJs, caterers, and planners struggle to compete on platforms that rewarded ad budgets over talent.

We built the platform we always wished existed: one where the best professionals rise to the top because of their work, not their marketing spend. One where hosts can actually trust what they're reading. One where the event industry finally has infrastructure worthy of its people.

We launched in DFW, expanded to serve professionals and hosts across the United States, and we're just getting started.

We are building the trust standard
the event industry has never had.

In a world where AI writes reviews, bots create fake accounts, and "awards" are sold to whoever pays — real trust has become the rarest thing in our industry. We are not here to compete with those platforms. We are here to make them irrelevant.

      Unbreakable Verification

Our 6-step Verified Event Chain requires independent confirmation from both parties. No bot can fake it. No payment can bypass it. A verified event is a verified event — full stop.

      Zero Pay-to-Win

No professional can buy their way to the top of search results. No award is sold. No badge is purchased. Every trust signal on this platform is earned through real work with real clients.

      Trust That Travels With You

Verified pros can share their EventConnective profile anywhere — their website, Instagram, email signature. Your verified record isn't locked inside our platform. It's yours to carry into every corner of your business.

      A Community Standard

We are not just a marketplace. We are building an industry-wide standard. When hosts and pros see the EventConnective badge, they know it means something — because everyone here chose to be held to it.

"We welcome every ethical event professional and every discerning host who believes the industry deserves better. If you share our commitment to real trust — you belong here."
      — Keith Clark, Founder

How We Make Money — and Why It Does Not Affect You

EventConnective is always free for hosts. For professionals, creating an account and building a profile is free. The Pro Plan is required to appear in host search results and access the full marketplace.

We will never charge hosts — ever. That is a promise backed by our Terms of Service. All payments between hosts and professionals are arranged directly between both parties. EventConnective does not currently process or handle event payments.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Everything hosts want to know about how pricing works.

Yes — completely. Creating an account, searching for professionals, messaging, creating events, and leaving reviews are all free for hosts. We have no plans to charge hosts, ever. It is baked into our business model and our Terms of Service.
Professionals benefit directly from a paid subscription — they get search visibility, analytics, business tools, and a verified record that sets them apart. Hosts benefit indirectly because a thriving professional community means more great vendors to choose from.

      Visibility & Discovery
      Appear in Host Search Results
This is what the plan unlocks. Verified hosts searching for professionals in your category and city will find you. Without The Pro Plan your profile exists but you are invisible in search. With it you are in the room.
      Multi-City Market Listing
Most platforms charge per city. We do not. You are automatically listed in every market within 50 miles of your location so hosts across your whole region can find you — included at no extra cost.
      Local Pro Badge
Earned automatically — not self-declared. When the majority of your verified events are within a specific market, you receive a Local Pro badge for that city. It tells hosts you are not just nearby — you actually work here. It cannot be bought, claimed, or faked.
      Leads
See exactly who is viewing your profile — when, how often, and what city they are in. Know which hosts are considering you before they reach out so you are always one step ahead.
      Verified Pro Member Badge
Display on your website, email signature, and social media. Links directly to your verified EventConnective profile so anyone can confirm your standing, reviews, and verified event history in one click. Reflects your current trust tier — Bronze through Platinum.
      Profile Analytics
Track how your profile is performing over time. Views, booking request rates, and search appearance frequency — so you understand what is working and where to focus your energy.
      Trust & Verified Record
      Verified Event Chain Participation
Every event you work becomes part of your permanent verified record. Both you and the host confirm the event happened and that services were delivered — creating proof that no one can fake, buy, or take from you.
      Reviews & Endorsement Participation
Once an event is verified, hosts leave you a detailed review across five rating dimensions. Fellow professionals you have worked verified events with can endorse you. Every review and endorsement is permanently attached to a real event.
      Public Review Responses
Respond publicly to any review left on your profile. Thank great clients, address concerns professionally, and show potential hosts how you handle feedback. Your response appears directly alongside the review.
      AI-Powered Review Summary
An automatically generated summary of your verified reviews appears at the top of your profile — giving hosts a clear, instant read on your reputation without scrolling through every review individually.
      Private Trust Score Dashboard
Your full numeric trust score with a complete breakdown of every factor driving it. You see exactly where you are and exactly what to do to improve. Never shown publicly — this is your private performance dashboard.
      Visibility Health Alerts
If your activity score starts declining — which affects where you appear in search results — we tell you before it becomes a problem. You will know what is slipping and what action to take.
      Profile & Portfolio
Public Profile with Bio, Portfolio & Service Listing
Your verified home on EventConnective. Showcase your work with photos, describe what you do, list your services and pricing, and let your verified event history speak for itself.
      Accept Booking Requests
Hosts can send you a formal booking request directly from your profile. Review the details, ask questions, and confirm — all within the platform.
      Communication & Scheduling
      Direct Messaging with Hosts
Communicate directly with hosts from the moment they reach out. Discuss your availability, understand their event, ask the right questions, and build the relationship — all in one place.
      Event Chain Group Messaging
Once confirmed on an event, a group thread is created between you, the host, and every other professional on that event. Everyone in the same conversation. No missed updates, no crossed wires.
      Event & Meeting Availability Calendar
A full calendar view of your confirmed events, pending bookings, and scheduled consultations — all in one place. Day, month, and year views.
      Built-In Consultation Scheduler
Hosts can book a consultation with you directly from your public profile — no back and forth, no phone tag. You set your availability, they pick a slot. Confirmations land straight in your calendar.

A permanent gold badge on your public profile marking you as one of the professionals who helped build EventConnective from the ground up. It does not expire. It cannot be earned after the founding window closes.
      Early Access to New Features
Founding Pros see and test every new feature before it rolls out to general membership. Your experience on the platform shapes what gets built next.

      Extended Profile Building Period

      Founding Member Directory
Permanently listed on our Founding Members page — a dedicated page on EventConnective recognizing the professionals who helped build this platform from day one.
      Founding Pro Commitment
The founding rate is a permanent commitment from us to you — and a commitment from you to the platform and the community you are helping build. Founding Pros are held to the EventConnective Community Participation Standard — the same standard every member agrees to. As a Founding Pro, your badge signals that you not only meet this standard, you helped define it. To maintain Founding Pro status and your locked rate, members agree to:
Remain in good standing — no policy violations, platform abuse, or breaches of our Terms of Service
Maintain continuous paid membership — the locked rate applies to uninterrupted active membership. Accounts that lapse, go into collections, or are cancelled forfeit founding status permanently
Stay active on the platform — respond to host inquiries, keep your availability current, and complete at least one verified event per 12-month period
Respond to endorsement requests in good faith — when a verified professional you worked a confirmed event with requests an endorsement, respond within 7 days. You may accept or decline — but legitimate requests from real co-workers should not go unanswered. A reminder is sent automatically at 7 days before any account flag is issued
Uphold the trust standard — as a Founding Pro you represent what EventConnective stands for. The badge on your profile carries weight and we expect you to honour it
If founding status is forfeited for any reason it cannot be reinstated. The standard Pro Plan rate at the time of reactivation will apply.
      A Note on Community

Founding Pros are the heart of this platform. We encourage you to invite the hosts and fellow professionals you have worked with — every member you bring strengthens the community you helped build. The referral program rewards you for every active member you refer. This is not a requirement, but it is appreciated more than you know.

      How Search Ranking Works

We Believe You Should Know Exactly How This Works

Almost no platform explains how their algorithm works. We do — because transparency is the whole point. No professional can pay for a higher ranking. Position in search is earned entirely through verified performance.

      1
Local Pros with verified events in that city — ranked highestProfessionals with real verified event history in the searched market. Displayed with the Local Pro badge. Local presence and verified history matter more than proximity alone.

Being within the radius gets you visible. Verified local history gets you found. That is fair to everyone — local pros, traveling pros, and the hosts trying to find the right person for their event.

      Professional Plan FAQs

Common questions about plans, billing, and features.

Yes. You can switch to annual billing at any time and receive the $190/year rate going forward. Switching from annual to monthly takes effect at the end of your current annual period.
No. Monthly plans are month-to-month. Cancel anytime from your account settings. Your profile, verified events, and trust score are never deleted — your profile returns to completely private status (no one can find or view it) until you reactivate.
Your verified events, reviews, and trust score are permanently yours — they will never be hidden or deleted if you cancel. Your profile becomes completely private — no one can find or view it — but your verified record is fully preserved and goes live again the moment you reactivate.
Yes — Founding Pro status requires continuous paid membership, good standing on the platform, no policy violations, and staying active with at least one verified event per 12-month period. If founding status is forfeited for any reason it cannot be reinstated and the standard Pro Plan rate at the time of reactivation applies.
The Local Pro badge is awarded automatically when the majority of your verified events are in a specific city market. It cannot be self-declared or purchased — it is tied entirely to your verified event history. As you complete more verified events in a market the badge appears on your search card and profile for that city.
Extended Coverage expands your search visibility from 50 miles to 100 miles, or lets you manually select up to 3 specific cities of your choice anywhere regardless of distance. It does not grant Local Pro status in those additional markets. Founding Pros receive Extended Coverage free, permanently.

      The 3-Step Application Process

Every professional on EventConnective completes all three steps before appearing in search results. The process is built on real social proof — reviews from actual clients and endorsements from real colleagues.

      1
      Client Reviews
      You Collect

Invite past clients to submit a verified review directly through EventConnective. Each review is tied to a real event — giving hosts confidence that your reputation is genuine, not self-reported.

      • Invite up to 10 past clients by email
      • Clients provide event type, date, city, and their honest feedback
      • Any email address accepted — clients don't need an account
      • EventConnective sends a branded, personalised invitation on your behalf
      • A minimum of 3 confirmed client reviews are required to submit
Takes about 5 minutes to set up · Reviews arrive as clients respond
      2
      Professional Endorsements
      Peers Verify

Invite fellow professionals you've worked alongside at real events to endorse you. Peer endorsements are a layer of trust that only exists between verified working professionals — they can't be faked.

      • Invite up to 10 colleagues by their professional business email
      • Personal email addresses (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) are not accepted — this keeps endorsements credible
      • Colleagues confirm the event, their role, and their experience working with you
      • A minimum of 2 confirmed professional endorsements are required to submit
Takes about 5 minutes to set up · Endorsements arrive as colleagues respond
      3
      Credentials & Badges
      Optional

Upload any professional credentials you hold. Each verified credential adds a visible badge to your public profile — giving hosts additional confidence before they ever send a message.

      • General liability insurance documentation
      • Business registration or incorporation
      • Professional licences relevant to your category
      • Industry certifications or training credentials
      • Health permits (for catering and food service professionals)
This step is optional — you can submit your application without credentials and add them later. However, profiles with verified credentials consistently receive more inquiries from hosts.
Each credential is verified by our team before the badge appears on your profile
      4
      Profile Activation

Why Our Vetting Actually Means Something

Most platforms let anyone list. We don't. Here's why our process creates genuine trust.

      Human Review on Every Application

Every application is read and evaluated by a real person on our team. Algorithms can be gamed. Human judgment is harder to fool — and we hold ourselves accountable for who we approve.

      Continuous, Not One-Time

Approval is just the beginning. Trust is maintained and built through every event, every review, and every endorsement. A professional's standing can grow — or be questioned — based on ongoing behaviour.

      Badges Are Earned, Not Bought

You can't purchase a higher badge tier or pay for better placement. Every badge level is tied to real, verified events and legitimate reviews. The platform is fair by design.

      Transparent Criteria

We publish exactly what we look for and why. Professionals know what to expect, hosts know what the badge means, and there are no hidden requirements or arbitrary decisions.

      Two-Party Event Verification

Both the host and the professional must confirm an event happened before any review can be submitted. One person can't unilaterally claim an event or post a review — it requires mutual agreement.

      Fair Dispute Resolution

If something goes wrong — a no-show, a dispute, a complaint — our trust and safety team investigates with both parties. Professionals can respond, and hosts are protected. No one gets silenced.

      How You Grow Your Standing

Every verified event moves you closer to the next badge tier. Your badges are publicly displayed and visible to every host browsing your profile.

      Vetting FAQs

Answers to the questions we hear most from professionals going through the process.

The time to complete your application depends on how quickly your past clients and colleagues respond to your invitations. Once you've collected the required reviews and endorsements and submitted, our team reviews your application and sends email updates at each stage.
If we decline your application, we'll tell you exactly why. Common reasons include incomplete portfolio, missing documentation, or service descriptions that don't meet our quality standards. You can reapply once the issues are addressed — there's no permanent ban for a first-time rejection.
General liability insurance is strongly recommended and required for certain categories (venue operators, caterers, event planners). For categories where insurance is less standard, we may still approve applicants who demonstrate a strong track record and professional operation. We'll be clear about what's required for your specific category.
Complaints are reviewed by our trust and safety team. You'll always be notified and given the opportunity to respond. Verified reviews can be flagged for investigation if they violate our guidelines. Repeat confirmed complaints may result in a profile review, and in serious cases, suspension from the platform.
Yes — approval is not permanent if conduct or quality falls below our standards. Serious violations such as confirmed no-shows, fraudulent activity, or verified complaints may result in suspension or removal. We believe the integrity of the platform depends on holding everyone accountable, including approved professionals.
Absolutely. We welcome professionals at all stages of their career. If you're new, a strong portfolio (even from personal projects or assisting other pros), clear service descriptions, and professional references can be enough to get approved. Your trust score and badges will build naturally as you complete verified events.

      Accessibility Statement

      Last updated: March 2026

      Our Conformance Target

EventConnective aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We audit regularly and address issues as they are identified.

      WCAG
      2.1 AA

      Our Commitment

EventConnective is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe that everyone — regardless of ability — should be able to use our platform to find trusted event professionals, plan events, and build a verified professional reputation.

We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards across our entire product. This is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project.

      Standards We Follow

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the internationally recognised benchmark for web accessibility. These guidelines cover four principles: content must be Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR) for all users.

In addition to WCAG 2.1 AA, we reference the Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) specification for complex interactive components such as our search filters, modal dialogs, and date pickers.

      Measures We Take

The following features and practices are implemented across the EventConnective platform:

Semantic HTML Structure Proper use of headings, landmarks, lists, and semantic elements for screen reader compatibility.
Full Keyboard Navigation All interactive elements — menus, forms, modals, and filters — are fully navigable by keyboard.
Colour Contrast Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements (4.5:1 for normal text).
Alt Text for Images All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked appropriately.
Form Labels & Error Messages All form inputs have associated labels. Error messages are descriptive and linked to the relevant field.
Responsive Design The platform works across devices and screen sizes, including mobile, tablet, and desktop.
Focus Indicators Visible focus indicators are present on all interactive elements for keyboard and assistive technology users.
Text Resizing All text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality using browser zoom controls.
No Auto-Playing Media We do not use auto-playing video or audio that could interfere with screen readers or cause distraction.
ARIA Labels & Roles Complex components (modals, tabs, accordions, search filters) use ARIA roles and labels to communicate state to assistive technologies.

      Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas currently have known limitations. We are actively working to address these:

      !
Portfolio lightbox image viewerThe full-screen image viewer may have limited keyboard navigation in some older browsers. We are working on a fully keyboard-accessible version.
      !
Stripe payment formsPayment processing is handled by Stripe, which follows its own accessibility standards. Some advanced payment flows may not fully align with our AA target. We work with Stripe to raise these issues.
      !
User-generated contentPortfolio images, review text, and other user-uploaded content may not always include descriptive alt text or follow accessibility best practices. We encourage users to provide alt text when uploading images and are exploring auto-captioning tools.
      !
Complex filter interactionsThe multi-filter search interface on the Find Pros page uses dynamic content updates. Some screen reader and virtual cursor combinations may experience inconsistent focus management. We are actively refining these interactions.

      Assistive Technology Compatibility

EventConnective is tested with the following assistive technology combinations:

NVDA + Chrome (Windows)Primary testing environment for Windows screen reader users.
VoiceOver + Safari (macOS / iOS)Primary testing environment for Apple screen reader users.
TalkBack + Chrome (Android)Primary testing for Android mobile screen reader users.
Keyboard-only navigationFull tab order and keyboard interaction tested across all major browsers.

If you experience issues with an assistive technology combination not listed above, please let us know — we want to support as broad a range of users as possible.

      Our Ongoing Commitment

Accessibility is not a launch milestone — it's a continuous practice. We incorporate the following into our regular development process:

We conduct internal accessibility reviews before shipping new features. We use automated scanning tools (axe, Lighthouse) as a first-pass check. We perform manual testing with screen readers and keyboard navigation on all major user flows. When issues are reported by users, they are triaged with the same priority as functional bugs.

We aim to address reported accessibility issues within 10 business days for critical barriers and 30 business days for moderate issues.

      Feedback & Contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of EventConnective. If you encounter any barriers, find content that is not accessible, or have suggestions for how we can improve, we want to hear from you.

A Marketplace Built on Real Trust.

EventConnective is built on the principle that trust must be earned through real work — not purchased through advertising, fake reviews, or paid placements. Here is exactly how we keep our marketplace honest and safe for everyone.

      6-step verified reviews
      Human-reviewed vetting
      Transparent trust scores
      Fair dispute resolution

      Verified Reviews

      Vetted Professionals

Every professional is reviewed by a real person before they can be discovered.

      Transparent Scores

Trust scores are public, formula-based, and cannot be purchased or gamed.

      Fair Disputes

Both parties get a voice. Our team mediates every dispute impartially.

      The Verified Event Chain

Every review on EventConnective is linked to a real, verified event. Our 6-step process ensures that reviews come from actual host–vendor collaborations — not fake accounts, competitor sabotage, or paid campaigns.

No review can be submitted until both the host and the professional have independently confirmed that the event happened and that services were rendered. This mutual verification is what makes every review on our platform credible.

Reviews that pass the full chain carry a permanent Verified Event badge that cannot be removed by the vendor or obscured by competitors.

      Professional Vetting

Before any professional appears in search results or can receive a booking, they go through our multi-step vetting process. Every application is reviewed by a real member of our team — not an algorithm.

We verify business documentation, review portfolio authenticity, check references where needed, and make a human judgment call on every application. We want to approve great professionals — our review process is designed to ensure quality, not to create unnecessary barriers.

Approved professionals earn a Verified Business badge that is displayed publicly on their profile. This badge represents a genuine credential, not a paid upgrade.

      Trust Score System

Every professional on EventConnective has a Trust Score from 0 to 100. It is calculated from five verified factors and updated automatically after every completed event. The formula is public — there is no black box.

Trust scores cannot be purchased, boosted, or gamed. The only way to improve your score is to do the actual work — complete more verified events, earn genuine reviews, and build peer endorsements through real collaborations.

Hosts use trust scores to evaluate professionals beyond star ratings — seeing verified event counts, review quality, peer opinions, and whether a professional's reputation is growing or stagnating.

      Dispute Resolution

When something goes wrong — a no-show, a quality dispute, a service concern — our dispute resolution process provides a fair path forward for both parties. Neither side is automatically favoured.

Both the host and the professional can submit evidence, including messages, photos, contracts, and event records. Our trust and safety team reviews all submissions and issues a resolution based on the evidence, not on who filed first or who has more reviews.

We aim to resolve disputes within 5–10 business days. Serious cases involving verified no-shows or fraudulent activity may be escalated and could result in platform suspension.

      Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Here is exactly how we protect the information you entrust to us.

Encrypted in Transit & at Rest

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS. Sensitive information — including passwords and payment tokens — is hashed and never stored in plaintext.

      Secure Payment Processing

EventConnective does not currently process payments between hosts and professionals. All payment arrangements are made directly between both parties outside the platform. Professional subscription billing is handled securely — we never store full card numbers on our servers.

      Data Export

You own your data. Users can request a full export of all their personal data, event history, messages, and reviews at any time from the Settings page.

      Account Deletion

Users can permanently delete their accounts. Personal data is anonymised upon deletion in compliance with applicable privacy regulations.

      No Data Selling

We do not sell your personal data to third parties or advertisers — ever. EventConnective products are ad-free by design.

      Access Controls

Internal access to user data is restricted on a need-to-know basis, logged, and audited. We use role-based access controls across all systems.

      Community Guidelines

These are the behaviours that make EventConnective work — and the ones we will not tolerate.

      Honest Representation

Professionals must represent their skills, experience, and services accurately. Misleading descriptions, fabricated credentials, or stolen portfolio images are grounds for immediate removal.

      Respectful Communication

All users are expected to communicate professionally and respectfully. Harassment, threats, discriminatory language, or abuse of any kind will result in account suspension.

      Genuine Reviews Only

Reviews must reflect real experience. Attempting to manipulate reviews — through self-review, incentivising positive feedback, or flagging legitimate negative reviews without basis — violates our guidelines.

      No Fake Profiles

Creating multiple accounts, impersonating other professionals or businesses, or misrepresenting your identity is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent removal.

      No Off-Platform Circumvention

Attempting to move bookings or professional relationships off the platform in bad faith undermines the trust of the entire community.

      No Spam or Unsolicited Contact

Sending unsolicited promotional messages, bulk outreach, or using the platform's messaging system for purposes other than genuine event-related communication is prohibited.

      Need to Report Something?

If you encounter suspicious activity, fraudulent profiles, inappropriate behaviour, or anything that feels wrong — report it immediately. Your report goes directly to our trust and safety team.

Our promise to you: Every report is reviewed by a real person. We respond to all safety reports within 24 hours. Reporters are never identified to the subject of the report. We take action on every confirmed violation — no exceptions for popular or high-earning professionals.

Every Review is Backed by a Real Event.

No fake reviews. No paid placements. No anonymous opinions from strangers who never hired the person. Every review on EventConnective is permanently linked to a confirmed, verified event — with both parties on record.

      The Verified Event Chain

Six steps — in order, no shortcuts — before any review can be submitted. Here's exactly what each one means.

      6
      Review Unlocked
      Host Writes
      Steps 1–2
      Event Created & Vendors Tagged
      Host Action

The host creates an event with date, type, and venue details. They then browse the directory and tag the professionals they plan to work with — DJs, photographers, caterers, florists, and more. Each tagged professional receives a formal invitation.

      Step 3
      Vendors Confirm Participation
      Professional Action

Each professional reviews the invitation and confirms their participation. This creates a verified, timestamped link between the host and the professional — before the event has even happened. Both parties are now on the record.

      Step 4
      Host Verifies Each Vendor
      Host Action

After the event, the host marks it as completed and confirms which professionals actually performed their services. This step prevents professionals from claiming events they didn't attend — and gives hosts the power to flag any no-shows.

      Step 5
      Event Becomes Fully Verified
      Both Parties

The professional self-verifies their participation. When both the host and professional have confirmed — from their own accounts, independently — the event reaches "Fully Verified" status. Trust scores update and badges are awarded at this stage.

      Step 6
      Host Writes a Verified Review
      Host Action

With the event fully verified, the host can now write a detailed review — with an overall star rating, sub-ratings for specific dimensions, and descriptive tags. The review is permanently attached to the verified event record and cannot be fabricated or purchased.

      After
      Professional Can Respond
      Professional Action

Professionals can respond publicly to any review left on their profile. This two-way dialogue shows future hosts how professionals handle feedback — including critical reviews. A thoughtful, professional response to a 3-star review often says more than ten generic 5-star ratings.

      What Makes Our Reviews Different

Most review platforms let anyone say anything. We don't. Here's what makes every review on EventConnective worth reading.

      Verified Participants Only

Only hosts who actually worked with a professional at a fully verified event can leave a review. There is no mechanism to leave a review for someone you haven't hired through a confirmed booking.

      Multi-Dimensional Ratings

Reviews include sub-ratings across four specific dimensions — Professionalism, Communication, Value, and Quality — in addition to an overall star rating. This gives future hosts a far more nuanced picture than a single number.

      Transparent Tags

Reviewers can tag professionals with specific qualities — "Punctual," "Creative," "Great with Guests," "Handled Pressure Well" — that surface as quick-scan signals on the profile for future hosts browsing under time pressure.

      Professional Responses

Professionals can respond to any review — including critical ones — creating a visible, public record of how they handle feedback. The best professionals use negative reviews as an opportunity to demonstrate accountability and growth.

      Helpfulness Voting

Other hosts can vote on whether a review was helpful, surfacing the most substantive and useful feedback to the top of the profile. This community signal keeps the most informative reviews visible over time.

      Cannot Be Purchased

Reviews cannot be bought, traded, or manipulated. A professional cannot pay to remove a legitimate negative review, purchase positive ones, or boost their profile through advertising spend. Trust is earned through real work — full stop.

      A Verified Review, Annotated

This is what a real verified review looks like on a professional's profile. Every element is earned — the badge, the sub-ratings, the tags, and the event context.

Notice that the review is linked to a specific event type and date. The "Verified Event" badge means this isn't an anonymous opinion — it's a confirmed record from someone who was actually there.

The sub-rating bars give hosts a granular view beyond the overall stars. The tags are quick-scan signals. And the response section shows the professional is engaged and accountable.

No. The review system is specifically tied to events created and verified through EventConnective. This is by design — it ensures every review is traceable to a real event on our platform. If you hired a professional outside of EventConnective and would like their work to be recognised, the professional would need to join the platform for future bookings.
If a professional confirmed on your event but did not show up or perform their services, you can flag this during Step 4 (Host Verifies Vendors). The event will not reach "Fully Verified" status for that vendor, which means the standard review is not unlocked. However, you can file a dispute and submit a formal record of the no-show, which is attached to the professional's profile following investigation.
Yes — the review system is two-way. After a fully verified event, professionals can also leave a review of the host. This includes ratings for organisation, communication, and payment reliability. Host reviews are visible to other professionals browsing potential clients, helping create accountability on both sides of the marketplace.
Any platform user can vote on whether a review is helpful. Reviews with more helpful votes surface higher on a professional's profile, ensuring the most substantive and detailed feedback is most visible. Reviews with very low helpful votes may be deprioritised in display order, though they are never removed unless they violate guidelines.
Yes — verified reviews are one of the highest-impact factors in a professional's trust tier. The quality and recency of reviews matter, not just the quantity. A professional with 10 recent, detailed 5-star reviews will typically rank higher than one with 50 older, generic reviews — because the system values genuine, current feedback over volume.

Every Event Adds to Your Verified Story

Join the platform where reviews mean something — and where the best professionals rise because of their work, not their marketing budget.

Reviews must be honest and based on genuine first-hand experience from a verified event. By submitting a review, you represent that all statements are true, you have not been compensated to write it, and it does not contain defamatory or discriminatory language.

Misrepresentation of services, qualifications, or portfolio materials may result in immediate account suspension.

A Verified Business badge represents that the professional passed our vetting process at time of approval. It does not constitute an endorsement of the quality, safety, or legality of any specific service.

      06 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

      • Creating fake accounts, duplicate accounts, or impersonating any person or organisation
      • Falsely confirming participation in events you did not attend
      • Harassing, threatening, bullying, or abusing any other user
      • Using discriminatory, hateful, or offensive language in any communication
      • Attempting to manipulate trust scores, review rankings, or verification states
      • Soliciting or providing payments or incentives in exchange for reviews
      • Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Platform
      • Attempting to circumvent the Platform to bypass safety features or community guidelines
      • Violating any applicable local, state, federal, or international law
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination. We may also pursue legal action where appropriate.

      07 Payments and Fees

EventConnective is free for Hosts. Professionals may create an account and build a profile at no cost; however, The Pro Plan is required to appear in host search results and access full marketplace features. EventConnective does not currently process payments between hosts and professionals — all payment arrangements are made directly between both parties.

      • Subscription fees for Professional plans are billed monthly in advance
      • Professional subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as selected at signup and are disclosed clearly before any charge is made
      • EventConnective does not currently process payments between hosts and professionals — payment arrangements are made directly between both parties
      • We do not store credit card information on our servers

Refunds for subscription fees are not provided for partial months. Contact demo@example.com within 7 days if you believe you were charged in error.

      08 Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, content, and underlying code, is owned by EventConnective and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a licence to use it as described in Section 4. If you believe any content on the Platform infringes your rights, contact demo@example.com.

      09 Privacy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

      10 Termination

You may delete your account at any time through account settings or by contacting demo@example.com. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or any conduct we determine to be harmful to the Platform or its users.

Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Sections 4, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 14 survive termination.

      11 Disclaimer

EventConnective is a marketplace platform. We do not employ, endorse, or guarantee the services of any professional listed on the Platform. All service agreements and transactions are between Hosts and Professionals directly.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content submitted by users is accurate or reliable.

      12 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EventConnective shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, any service performed by a professional, or any content submitted by users.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount paid by you to EventConnective in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

      13 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless EventConnective and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform in violation of these Terms, your violation of any applicable law, or any content you submit.

      14 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the federal laws of the United States. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Dallas County, Texas.

      15 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date, send an email notification to all registered users, and display a notice on the Platform. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the changes.

      16 Referral Program

EventConnective operates a voluntary referral program ("Program") that allows eligible users to invite others to the Platform in exchange for account credits. Participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of the following terms, which supplement and form part of these Terms of Service.

      16.1 Eligibility

The Program is available to registered users whose accounts are in good standing. Users whose accounts are under review or suspended are not eligible to earn new credits or send new invites during that period. Credits already earned or pending at the time of a review or suspension are held and released in full upon resolution — they are not forfeited solely due to a review or suspension. A verified mobile phone number is required to participate. Each phone number may only be associated with one account.

      16.2 How Credits Are Earned

Credits are issued only upon completion of a qualifying action by the referred user. Signup alone does not constitute a qualifying action. For referred Hosts, the qualifying action is the creation and submission of their first event. For referred Professionals, the qualifying action is successful completion of identity verification. All earned credits are held for a period of 14 days following confirmation before being released to the referring user's account.

      16.3 Credit Limits and Redemption

Referral credits are capped at $200 (USD) per account per calendar year across both host and pro referrals combined. Credits do not expire on active accounts. Accounts inactive for 12 or more consecutive months may have their credit balance reviewed. Credits are redeemable against eligible subscription charges on EventConnective. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged.

16.4 Prohibited Conduct & Fraud Enforcement

The following conduct is strictly prohibited and will result in enforcement action as described below:

      • Self-referral: Creating or using alternate accounts to generate referral credits for yourself is expressly prohibited.
      • Coordinated fraud: Participating in organised schemes, referral rings, or any coordinated effort to artificially generate credits is prohibited.
      • Misrepresentation: Inviting users under false pretences, providing fraudulent contact details, or otherwise misrepresenting the Program is prohibited.

EventConnective enforces violations in tiers based on severity:

      • Tier 1 — Self-referral (first offence): All credits from the fraudulent referral are immediately and permanently forfeited. A formal warning is recorded on the account. Referral program access is suspended for six (6) months. The account is placed under enhanced monitoring for ninety (90) days.
      • Tier 2 — Organised fraud: All referral credits across the entire account are permanently forfeited, including legitimately earned credits. Referral program access is permanently revoked. The account is suspended pending a full Trust & Safety review. Confirmed fraud results in permanent account termination with no right of appeal.
      • Tier 3 — Repeat or egregious fraud: Permanent account termination with no appeal pathway. The user's device fingerprint and IP address are flagged and future registrations from the same device or network may be blocked. EventConnective reserves the right to pursue recovery of any credits that were redeemed prior to detection of fraud.

EventConnective employs device fingerprinting, IP analysis, email domain pattern matching, signup timing analysis, and behavioural modelling to detect fraudulent referrals. Credits may be reversed retroactively within ninety (90) days of issuance if fraud is identified, regardless of whether the referred user has taken any action.

16.5 Review Flagging — Misuse Policy

Upon submission of a flag, the flagged review is immediately hidden from all public-facing profiles and remains hidden until EventConnective's moderation team completes its review. If the flag is not upheld, the review is restored. If upheld, the review is permanently removed. Both parties are notified of the outcome; the identity of the person who submitted the flag is not disclosed to the reviewer.

Submitting a false, malicious, or bad-faith flag is a violation of these Terms. All flag submissions are logged against the submitting account. Confirmed misuse of the flagging system will result in: (a) a formal warning recorded on the account; (b) immediate suspension of flagging privileges; and (c) at EventConnective's discretion, temporary suspension or permanent termination of the account. EventConnective reserves the right to take action against any pattern of abusive flagging behaviour even where individual flags cannot be individually confirmed as bad-faith.

      16.6 Program Modifications

EventConnective reserves the right to modify, pause, or permanently discontinue the referral program at any time. Material changes will be communicated to active participants with a minimum of thirty (30) days notice. Continued participation following any change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

      17 Review Integrity & Anti-Bribery Policy

EventConnective is built on the integrity of its review system. All reviews must reflect the genuine, uninfluenced experience of the reviewer. The following conduct is strictly prohibited for all users of the Platform:

      17.1 Prohibited Conduct

      • Soliciting incentivised reviews: Professionals may not offer, promise, or provide any form of compensation — including but not limited to cash, discounts, free services, upgrades, gifts, or any other benefit — in exchange for a review, a positive review, or the modification of an existing review.
      • Accepting incentives to review: Hosts may not solicit, accept, or agree to any form of compensation in exchange for writing, modifying, or refraining from writing a review.
      • Third-party review solicitation: Users may not engage, pay, or instruct any third party to write, submit, or influence reviews on their behalf.
      • Review suppression: Requesting, pressuring, or incentivising a reviewer to remove, modify, or withhold a review they would otherwise submit is prohibited.
      • Anonymous or false reviews: All reviews must be submitted under the reviewer's real full name as registered on their EventConnective account. Anonymous, pseudonymous, or fabricated reviews are not permitted. Reviewers are explicitly permitted to name individual staff members or employees in their review when referencing that person's professional conduct or contribution to the event — this specificity is encouraged as it provides more useful feedback. Reviews may not, however, use the naming of individuals to personally attack, harass, or make claims unrelated to their professional performance.

      17.2 Enforcement

Violations of this policy will result in the immediate removal of any affected review(s) without notice. Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, EventConnective may also impose a formal warning, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of the offending account(s). EventConnective reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and may request supporting information from either party as part of that investigation.

17.3 Review Completion & Trusted Host Recognition

Review completion is a core participation obligation under Section 19 of these Terms. Hosts are required to submit a verified review within 7 days of event verification. Hosts who maintain a consistently high review-completion rate and review quality are eligible for a Trusted Host designation, which is visible to professionals on the host's profile. This designation helps hosts attract higher-calibre vendors and receive faster responses to booking requests. EventConnective reserves the right to award, revoke, or modify the Trusted Host designation at its discretion based on account activity and review behaviour.

      18 Community Participation Standard

EventConnective's verified review and endorsement system is the foundation of everything we do. It only works when every member — hosts and professionals alike, on every plan — participates honestly, completely, and in good faith. By joining EventConnective, you agree to the following participation standard.

Plain language: Show up. Leave your reviews. Respond to endorsement requests. Keep your calendar current. If you stop participating, the platform stops working — for everyone who trusted it.

      18.1 Host Participation Obligations

As an Event Host, you agree to:

      • Submit a verified review within 7 days of event verification. Once both parties confirm an event through the Verified Event Chain, the host receives a review invitation. The review window opens immediately and remains open for 7 days. A reminder notification is sent automatically on Day 4. Failure to submit a review within this window is recorded against the account.
      • Respond to event-related communications promptly. Hosts are expected to respond to messages from booked professionals within a reasonable timeframe, particularly in the days leading up to a confirmed event.
      • Participate honestly in the Verified Event Chain. You may only confirm events that actually took place with the stated professionals. Confirming events that did not occur, or events in which the listed professional did not participate, is a violation of these Terms.
      • Maintain accurate event records. Event details submitted through the platform — date, location, vendor team — should reflect what actually occurred.

      18.2 Professional Participation Obligations

As an Event Professional, you agree to:

      • Respond to host inquiries within a reasonable timeframe. Professionals are expected to acknowledge messages from hosts, particularly from hosts who have submitted a formal booking request. Repeated non-response negatively affects your visibility health score and trust tier.
      • Keep your availability calendar current and accurate. Listing yourself as available for dates you cannot honour misleads hosts and damages their trust in the platform.
      • Complete at least one verified event per 12-month period to maintain an active, visible profile in search results.
      • Respond to endorsement requests in good faith within 7 days. When a verified professional you worked a confirmed event with submits an endorsement request, you must respond — accepting or declining — within 7 days of receipt. A reminder notification is sent automatically on Day 4. You are never required to endorse someone you do not genuinely wish to endorse, but legitimate requests from verified co-workers must not be ignored. Failure to respond within the 7-day window is recorded against the account.
      • Only request endorsements from professionals you have genuinely co-worked a verified event with. Requesting endorsements from professionals outside of a confirmed shared event is a violation of these Terms.
      • Participate honestly in the Verified Event Chain. You may only confirm events in which you genuinely participated and delivered your professional services as agreed.

18.3 The Accountability System — Strike Ladder

EventConnective operates a transparent, progressive accountability system. The goal is never to punish good-faith members — it is to protect the integrity of the platform for everyone. Every member always knows where they stand, always receives a warning before any consequence, and always has a clear path to resolution.

What constitutes a strike: A strike is issued when a host fails to submit a review within the 7-day window, or when a professional fails to respond to a legitimate endorsement request within the 7-day window, after the automatic Day 4 reminder has been sent and no action has been taken.

      • Strike 1 — First Notice. A formal notification is sent to the account holder acknowledging the missed window. The tone is informational and assumes good faith. No restrictions are applied. The account is noted internally. Message: "It looks like you missed a participation window. Life gets busy — we understand. This is your first notice. Three missed windows within 12 months will prompt a personal check-in from our team."
      • Strike 2 — Second Notice. A second formal notification is sent. No restrictions are applied but the stakes are clearly communicated. Message: "This is your second missed participation window in 12 months. One more will trigger a personal outreach from our team. We want to make sure everything is okay and understand if there is something we can do to help."
      • Strike 3 — Personal Outreach. A member of the EventConnective team personally reaches out within 48 hours. This is not automated. The goal is to understand what is happening, not to penalise. No restrictions are applied at this stage — this is a conversation first. Founding Pros receive this outreach with specific reference to their founding status and what is at stake.
      • Strike 4 — Formal Warning. A formal written warning is issued to the account. For professionals, search visibility is reduced pending resolution. For hosts, the ability to submit new booking requests may be limited. The account is flagged for enhanced monitoring. A clear resolution path is provided.
      • Strike 5 — Account Restriction. The account is temporarily restricted. Professionals become invisible in search results. Hosts cannot submit new booking requests. The account holder is contacted directly with a resolution pathway. Restrictions are lifted upon completion of outstanding participation obligations and a satisfactory resolution conversation with our team.

      18.4 Strike Expiry and Resolution

      • Standard strikes expire after 12 months from the date of issue, provided no new strikes have been added during that period.
      • Resolved strikes — where the member completes the overdue action following issuance — are weighted at half a strike for the purposes of the strike ladder going forward.
      • Strikes for serious violations — including platform abuse, fake event confirmation, harassment, or fraud — do not expire and are not eligible for resolution credit.
      • Founding Pro status is subject to the same strike ladder as all members. Founding Pros who reach Strike 5 are subject to the same account restrictions as all other members. Founding Pro status and the associated locked rate are forfeited if the account is permanently terminated for participation violations.

      18.5 Transparency Commitment

EventConnective commits to the following in administering this system:

      • Every strike is preceded by at least one automated reminder before being issued.
      • Every strike notification clearly states what happened, where the account stands in the ladder, and what the next step looks like.
      • No account restriction is applied without a personal outreach attempt first.
      • Every member has the right to contact our team to discuss any strike they believe was issued in error. We will review and respond within 5 business days.
      • Strike records are available to the account holder in their account dashboard at all times.

This system exists because the platform only works when everyone participates. We take that seriously — and we are committed to administering this system with fairness, transparency, and good faith on our side too.

      01 Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: directly from you, automatically as you use the platform, and from third parties where applicable.

      • Reviews and content: Reviews you submit, responses you post, and endorsements you give

      • Log data: IP address, access timestamps, and error logs
      • Session data: Authentication session tokens stored in essential cookies

02 How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for the purposes of providing and improving EventConnective. Specifically:

      • Account management: Creating and maintaining your account, authenticating logins, and managing your preferences

      • Badges: Awarding achievement badges based on verified events and milestones
      • Transactional emails: Verification links, password resets, event notifications, and booking updates

      • Safety and compliance: Detecting fraud, investigating reports, and enforcing our Terms of Service
      • Marketing (opt-in only): Sending platform updates and tips if you opted in during registration — you can unsubscribe at any time
We do not use your data for advertising profiling, do not allow third-party ad targeting on our platform, and do not sell your information to any party for any purpose.

      03 Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

      • Public profile data: Business name, service category, location, portfolio, reviews, trust tier badge, and verified event count are publicly visible to help hosts find and evaluate professionals. This is the core purpose of the platform.
      • Event-connected users: When your participation is confirmed on an event, your name and profile are visible to the host. When connected through an event, hosts and professionals may see each other's contact details to coordinate the event.
      • Service providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the platform — including our subscription billing provider, hosting provider, and email delivery services. These providers are bound by strict data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
      • Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
      • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same privacy protections.

      04 Credential Documents & Verification

EventConnective allows professionals to voluntarily upload credential documents — such as insurance certificates, business registration, professional licences, certifications, and health permits — to earn verified badges on their public profiles. This section explains exactly how we handle those documents.

      What we collect

      • Insurance documentation — general liability certificates and category-specific coverage documents
      • Business registration — incorporation certificates, business licences, or equivalent legal registration documents
      • Professional licences — trade or occupational licences relevant to the professional's service category
      • Industry certifications — third-party certification credentials from recognised bodies
      • Health permits — applicable to catering, food service, and related categories

      Why we collect it

Credential documents are collected solely to verify that the credential is real and current. Once verified, the corresponding badge is displayed on the professional's public profile. The document itself is never displayed publicly — only the badge appears.

      What we do not do

      • We do not sell credential documents — under any circumstances, to any party.
      • We do not share credential documents — with any third party, including hosts, advertisers, data brokers, or partner organisations.
      • We do not report credential documents — to regulatory bodies, government agencies, licensing authorities, or any other external organisation, except where we are compelled to do so by applicable law, court order, or lawful government request. In such cases, we will notify you to the extent we are legally permitted to do so.
      • We do not use credential documents for any purpose other than verification — they are not used for advertising, profiling, or platform analytics.

      Who can access your documents

Credential documents are accessible only to authorised members of the EventConnective team directly involved in the verification review process. Access is logged and restricted on a need-to-know basis.

      Retention and deletion

Once a credential has been reviewed and the verification decision has been made — whether approved or declined — the source document is permanently deleted within 30 days of that decision. We do not retain credential documents beyond this window. Only the verification outcome (badge granted or not) is stored on your profile record.

If you submit updated documents for a renewal (see below), the same 30-day deletion policy applies to the new submission once reviewed.

      Credential expiry and badge renewal

Credentials such as insurance policies, business licences, and health permits expire. Verified badges on EventConnective are tied to the validity of the underlying credential. You are responsible for ensuring your credentials remain current.

      • EventConnective may contact you in advance of a known credential expiry date to prompt renewal.
      • If a credential expires and updated documentation is not submitted within 30 days of expiry, the corresponding badge will be removed from your profile until renewal documentation is verified.
      • Badge removal due to credential expiry does not affect your trust tier or verified event record — it is limited to the specific credential badge.
      • Once renewed documentation is submitted and verified, the badge is reinstated and the 30-day document deletion policy applies to the new submission.

      Legal compulsion

In rare circumstances, EventConnective may be legally required to disclose information — including credential documents — in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or lawful request from a government authority. We will comply with our legal obligations. Where permitted by law, we will attempt to notify the affected user before disclosing their information.

We do not voluntarily cooperate with law enforcement requests that are not legally mandated.

      05 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

      • Encryption in transit: All data is transmitted over HTTPS using TLS encryption
      • Password security: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plaintext passwords
      • Authentication: Secure API authentication using JWT (JSON Web Tokens)
      • Billing security: Professional subscription billing is handled securely. We never store full credit card numbers
      • Access controls: Internal access to user data is restricted on a need-to-know basis and logged
      • Regular audits: We conduct regular security reviews and address vulnerabilities promptly

While we take significant steps to protect your data, no system is completely immune to security risks. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately at demo@example.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

      06 Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

      • Active account data: Retained for the lifetime of your account
      • Deleted account data: Personal information is anonymised within 30 days of account deletion. Some data — such as anonymised event records and aggregate statistics — may be retained for platform integrity purposes
      • Verified event records: Anonymised event chain records are retained to preserve the integrity of reviews that were verified through those events. The review content remains, but your identifying information is removed
      • Legal hold: Data subject to a legal hold or active investigation may be retained beyond standard periods

To request deletion of your account and associated data, go to your account settings or contact us at demo@example.com.

      07 Cookies

We use cookies minimally and purposefully:

      • Authentication cookies (essential): We store your session token in a cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled without logging out.
      • Preference cookies (functional): We may store lightweight preferences such as your last-visited page or display settings.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies that share data with third parties. EventConnective products are ad-free by design.

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies, but doing so may affect your ability to log in and use the platform.

      08 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

      • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
      • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate personal data — most profile information can be updated directly through your dashboard
      • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data
      • Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
      • Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
      • Objection: Object to processing of your data for direct marketing purposes at any time
      • Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time without affecting prior processing

To exercise any of these rights, you can update your information in your account dashboard, or contact us at demo@example.com. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

      09 Third-Party Services

EventConnective integrates with a small number of third-party services to operate the platform. Each is selected for its security standards and bound by data processing agreements:

      • Subscription billing provider: Professional subscription billing is processed securely. We receive only a billing token — never your full card details.
      • Email delivery service: Transactional emails (verification, notifications, password reset) are sent via a third-party email provider. We share your email address for delivery purposes only.
      • Hosting infrastructure: Our platform runs on cloud infrastructure. Server logs and usage data are processed on these systems under strict access controls.

We do not integrate with social media tracking pixels, advertising networks, or data brokers. We do not use Google Analytics or similar surveillance-based analytics tools.

      10 Children's Privacy

EventConnective is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect personal information from, individuals under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not create an account or submit any personal information to the platform.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at demo@example.com.

      11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:

      • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
      • Send an email notification to all registered users
      • Display a notice on the platform for a reasonable period

The problems every event professional knows

Generic platforms weren't built for the event industry. Here's what they get wrong — and how we fix it.

      Inconsistent Bookings

Relying on word-of-mouth and social media means feast-or-famine cycles with no predictable pipeline. You need a searchable, discoverable presence that works while you're on-site.

      No Verified Track Record

Reviews on other platforms can be faked, purchased, or left by people who never hired you. Hosts have no way to verify your actual event history — so trust is hard to build and easy to fake.

      Payment Headaches

Managing inquiries, coordinating details, and staying on top of your calendar takes time away from what you do best. EventConnective keeps everything in one place so you can focus on your craft.

The industry has a trust problem.
      We built the solution.

Everything you need to showcase your work, manage your business, and grow your reputation on a platform that was built for this industry.

      Verified Event Chain

Every event you work gets verified by the host after completion. Build an unquestionable, tamper-proof track record that hosts can trace — something no other platform offers.

      Professional Portfolio

Showcase your best work with captioned photos organised by event type. Your portfolio builds trust before a host ever sends a message — first impressions close bookings.

      Service Packages

Create bookable packages with transparent pricing. Hosts see exactly what they get, at what price — eliminating back-and-forth and shortening the path from discovery to booking.

Share Your Verified Profile PAID PLANS

Your verified profile isn't locked inside EventConnective. Share it on your website, Instagram, email signature, or any marketing material. When potential clients click through and see your verified events and real reviews, you're not making a claim — you're showing proof.

      Badge Progression

Earn Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum badges as you build your verified event history. Badges display prominently on your profile and in search results — earned, never purchased.

      Analytics Dashboard

Track profile views, booking conversion rate, revenue trends, and more. Make data-driven decisions about your pricing, packages, and service offerings. (Standard and Premium plans.)

      Pro Endorsements

Professionals who co-work real events can endorse each other. These peer endorsements are only available from verified co-participants — another trust signal that can't be faked.

      Availability Calendar

Set your availability so hosts know when you're bookable before they reach out. Reduce time spent on inquiries you can't fulfil. (Standard and Premium plans.)

      Direct Messaging

Message directly with hosts inside the platform. Keep all event-related communication in one place with a clear paper trail — no email chains, no lost context.

      Get started in minutes

From signup to your first verified booking — here's how it works.

      Step 01

      Create Your Profile

Create your account and build your profile — add your bio, services, portfolio, and rates. Then collect client reviews and peer endorsements to complete your application. The Pro Plan is required to appear in host search results.

      Step 02

      List Your Packages

List your services with clear descriptions so hosts know exactly what you offer. Transparent profiles convert browsers into bookers.

      Step 03

      Get Booked

Hosts find you through search, view your verified history and reviews, and book directly. No cold outreach, no bidding wars.

      Step 04

      Build Your Chain

After each event, complete the Verified Event Chain to earn your review, update your trust score, and progress toward the next badge tier. Then share your profile link anywhere — your verified record travels with you.

      Simple, transparent pricing

One plan. Everything included. No tiers, no upsells, no commissions taken from your bookings.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Everything professionals want to know before joining.

Creating your account and profile is free with no time limit. However, The Pro Plan is required to appear in host search results and be discoverable on the marketplace. The free tier lets you build your profile, go through vetting, and get set up — then upgrade to The Pro Plan when you're ready to start getting booked.
After you're tagged on an event and confirm participation, the host marks the event complete and verifies your services were rendered. You then self-verify. Once both parties confirm, the event reaches "Fully Verified" status — unlocking a verified review, updating your trust score, and counting toward your next badge tier. The full process is outlined on our How Reviews Work page.
EventConnective does not currently process payments between hosts and professionals. All payment arrangements for your event services are made directly between you and your clients. Your EventConnective subscription is billed separately through your account settings.
Absolutely. You have full control over your rates and how you present your services. We never dictate pricing. Transparent profiles with clear service details convert browsers into bookers — no awkward negotiation required.
We support 39 service categories including DJs, photographers, videographers, caterers, florists, bands, MCs, planners, decorators, bartenders, officiants, hair & makeup, transportation, face painters, and many more. If your category isn't listed, contact us — we're actively expanding.
Every professional earns a trust tier — Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum — based on what actually matters: host reviews (most important), reliability (attendance, responsiveness, no cancellations), pro endorsements from verified co-workers, verified event history, achievement badges, and account standing. Verified events are the qualifier for each tier — but your ranking within that tier is driven by quality, not volume. The exact formula stays private so the only path to Gold or Platinum is doing real, consistent, reliable work. Full details on our Vetting Process page.
Cancellation policies are agreed between you and the host directly. We provide dispute resolution support if issues arise, but we respect the terms you and your clients agree to independently.
Once you've collected the required client reviews and peer endorsements and submitted your application, our team reviews it and sends email updates at each stage. Every application is seen by a real person — not an algorithm. Full details on our Vetting Process page.

How the Verified Event Chain Works

When a host books this professional, both parties confirm the event before, during, and after. No review can be submitted until both the host and the professional independently verify that the event occurred and services were rendered. This ensures every review on their profile is 100% real. Availability & Inquiry Preferences

Set when you work events, block off dates you are unavailable, and configure what information you want from hosts who inquire about your availability. This is separate from your consultation scheduler.

      Weekly Event Availability
Set the days and general hours you are available to work events. Hosts will see this on your profile calendar.
      Blacked Out Dates
Block specific dates you are unavailable — vacations, personal commitments, already-booked events outside the platform, or anything else. Blocked dates appear as unavailable on your public profile calendar and hosts cannot inquire for those dates.
Add a Blacked Out Date or Range
      General Availability Notes
Optional — add a note about your scheduling that will appear on your profile.
      Standard Inquiry Fields
Choose which fields you want hosts to fill out when they inquire about your availability. Event type and date are always included. Check the fields most useful for your work.
      Your Custom Questions
Add up to 3 questions specific to your work. These appear on the inquiry form after the standard fields. Keep them short and specific — hosts are more likely to answer focused questions.
0 of 3 custom questions used
      Auto-Response Message
Optional — send an automatic message when you receive an inquiry. This does not replace your personal response but gives the host an immediate acknowledgment.
      Daily Event Capacity
How many events will you accept on a single day? Once you reach this number of confirmed bookings for a given date, your profile won't appear in new searches for that date.
Only confirmed platform bookings count toward your daily limit. Manually blocked dates are separate — those dates won't show at all regardless of this setting. If you have a team with multiple staff members able to work different events simultaneously, "No limit" is the right choice.
      Last-Minute Bookings
How many days before an event will you accept a booking? Your profile only appears in searches where the event date falls within your stated window.
Be honest with yourself before setting a last-minute window.
A host reaching out days before their event is counting on you completely. If you accept and then cancel or fail to show, it will trigger a platform investigation regardless of how much notice you gave. Only set a window you can genuinely commit to. When in doubt, choose a longer window or opt out entirely.

Your reputation starts before your first booking.

Most new professionals face the same wall — no reviews means no bookings, and no bookings means no reviews. We break that cycle before you even take your first inquiry.
Enter the names and emails of past clients, along with the Event Type, Date, and City you did the work at. We reach out on your behalf, ask them to confirm the event happened and leave a short honest review.
Once 3 clients respond and you collect 2 professional endorsements (Step 2), your profile launches with real social proof — not a blank slate.
Reviews are clearly labelled "Pre-Platform Review — verified by EventConnective" so hosts know exactly what they're reading. Honest, and hosts respect it.
Past Clients (3 minimum · up to 10)
Start with people you've worked with most recently — a fresh memory makes for a more specific, credible review. Any email address works — clients don't need a business account.
Add at least 3 past clients below. We'll handle the outreach.

      Hi [Client Name],

[Your Name] is building their professional profile on EventConnective — a marketplace that connects event hosts with trusted, verified professionals.

They've listed you as someone they've worked with, and we'd love to hear about your experience. We just need two things from you:

      1
Confirm that your event took place as described.
      2
Leave a brief honest review — three or four sentences about your experience working with them.

This takes about 2 minutes. Your review will appear on their profile clearly labelled as a Pre-Platform Review, so hosts know it comes from before they joined us — that transparency matters to us.

      Step 2 of 3

What a professional endorsement actually means.

A client review tells hosts you do great work. A professional endorsement tells hosts you're someone other pros want to work with — that you show up, communicate, and make events better for everyone involved. Those are different things, and hosts value both.
List vendors, planners, or coordinators you've shared an event floor with. They don't need to be on EventConnective — they just need to be real.
2 endorsements minimum. We reach out, ask them to confirm you worked together and write a few sentences about what you're like on the day.
Past Colleagues & Vendors (2 minimum · up to 10)
Prioritise people you've worked with recently — a colleague from your last few events will give a more specific endorsement than someone from years ago. Use their professional business email so we can verify who we're reaching.
Add at least 2 past colleagues below.

      Hi [Colleague Name],

[Your Name] is building their professional profile on EventConnective and has listed you as a fellow professional they've worked alongside at an event.

As someone in the industry, your perspective carries real weight. We're asking for two things:

      1
Confirm that you worked together at the event listed.
      2
Write a brief professional endorsement — what are they like to work with on the day? A few sentences is perfect.

This endorsement appears on their profile under "Professional Endorsements" — separate from client reviews, because peer credibility is a different and valuable signal for hosts.

      Step 3 of 3 — Optional

Credentials don't get you in — but they get you noticed.

This step is entirely optional. You can submit your application without completing any of it. But every credential you verify earns a visible badge on your public profile — and some hosts filter specifically for them.
Insured vendors, licensed caterers, certified planners — hosts booking higher-stakes events look for these badges before they reach out.
You can always come back and add credentials later. They appear on your profile the moment we verify them.
      Certificate of Insurance (COI)
Many venues require vendors to carry liability insurance. Hosts booking those venues will specifically look for the Insured badge.
We review submitted documents before the badge appears on your profile.
      Business Registration / LLC
Shows you operate as a legitimate registered business. Meaningful for catering, planning, and AV companies where hosts are making larger investments.
      Business Licence
Required by law in many cities — particularly food service, bartending, and AV production. If your category requires it and you have it, this badge signals you're operating above board.
      Professional Certifications
Industry certifications — Certified Wedding Planner, ServSafe, CPR, WIPA membership — signal investment in your craft.
      Health & Safety Permit
Critical for catering, food service, and bartending. Hosts booking these services need to know their vendor is permitted.
      Existing Review Profiles
A Google Business listing with 200 reviews is one of the strongest trust signals you can bring. We'll show the link on your profile so hosts can check for themselves.

      Referral Terms & Enforcement Policy

Eligibility: The referral program is available to accounts in good standing only. Accounts currently under review or suspended may not send new invites or earn new credits. Any credits already earned or pending are held safely and released in full once the account matter is resolved — credits are never forfeited solely due to a review or suspension.

Qualifying actions: Credits are released only when referred users complete a meaningful action. Signup alone earns nothing. Referred hosts must create and submit their first event. Referred pros must complete full identity verification. Credits are then held for 14 days before release as a fraud prevention measure.

Phone verification required: A verified mobile phone number is required to participate. Each phone number is tied to one account globally — duplicate numbers are blocked at signup.

Annual cap: Referral credits are capped at $200 per account per calendar year.

      ⚠ Fraud & Abuse Enforcement

Tier 1 — Self-referral (first offence): All credits from the fraudulent referral are immediately and permanently forfeited. A formal warning is recorded on your account. Your referral program access is suspended for 6 months. Your account is placed under enhanced monitoring for 90 days.

Tier 2 — Organised fraud (multiple fake accounts, coordinated referral rings): All referral credits across your entire account are permanently forfeited — including any legitimately earned credits. Referral program access is permanently and irrevocably revoked. Your account is suspended pending a full Trust & Safety review. If fraud is confirmed, your account is permanently banned with no appeal.

Tier 3 — Repeat or egregious fraud: Permanent account termination with no appeal pathway. Your device fingerprint and IP address are flagged — future signups from the same device or network are blocked. EventConnective reserves the right to pursue recovery of any credits that were spent prior to detection.

How we detect fraud: We use a combination of device fingerprinting, IP analysis, email domain matching, signup timing patterns, and behavioural signals to identify fraudulent referrals. You do not need to be caught in the act — patterns are reviewed retroactively and credits can be reversed at any time within 90 days of issuance if fraud is identified.

Expiry: Credits never expire on active accounts. Accounts inactive for 12 or more consecutive months may have credits reviewed.

Program changes: EventConnective reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue the referral program at any time with 30 days notice to active participants.

This policy is incorporated into and governed by EventConnective's full Terms of Service. Participation in the referral program constitutes acceptance of these terms.

      Before You Confirm

What to Cover Before You Confirm

EventConnective verifies your participation and protects your reputation. Contracts and payments happen directly between you and the other party — before you confirm on the platform. Here's what to make sure you've covered.

      1. Scope of Services

Be specific about exactly what is and isn't included. Vague scope is the most common cause of post-event disputes.

      • Exact hours — start time, end time, setup and teardown included or separate
      • What deliverables the pro provides (e.g. edited photos, number of songs, dish counts)
      • What equipment or materials the pro provides vs. what the host provides
      • Travel — is the venue within their service area? Are travel costs included or extra?
      • Any add-ons discussed verbally — get them in writing
      2. Payment Terms

EventConnective does not process payments. All payment terms are agreed and handled directly between you and the other party.

      • Total price agreed and in writing
      • Deposit amount and due date — most pros require a deposit to hold the date
      • Balance due date — before the event, on the day, or after?
      • Accepted payment methods
      • Late payment consequences — does the booking lapse if payment isn't received?
      3. Cancellation Terms

Cancellations happen. Both sides should know exactly what the consequences are before they confirm.

      • What happens to the deposit if the host cancels?
      • What compensation (if any) is due if the pro cancels?
      • Tiered refund policy — does cancellation 60 days out get a different outcome than 7 days out?
      • All cancellations must also be reported through EventConnective — both parties will be contacted as part of our standard review process
      4. Emergency & Force Majeure

Life happens. Agree in advance on what counts as an emergency and what each party's obligations are.

      • What qualifies as an unforeseeable emergency for either side?
      • Is the pro responsible for finding a replacement if they can't make it?
      • What documentation would be required to invoke this clause?
      • Note: EventConnective will still review any no-show or last-minute cancellation regardless of the reason — your contract clause does not replace our platform investigation
      5. Last-Minute Bookings

If you're confirming a booking within 7 days of the event, the stakes are higher for both sides. A few extra things to nail down:

      • Confirm all event details immediately — venue address, exact timing, access requirements
      • Payment should ideally be settled upfront given the short timeline
      • Both parties should have each other's direct contact details
      • The pro should only confirm if they are genuinely certain they can deliver — a last-minute cancellation after confirming triggers a full platform investigation
      • The host should understand the inherent risk of a short-notice booking and communicate their expectations clearly
This is guidance, not legal advice

EventConnective is not a party to any agreement between hosts and professionals. We do not provide legal advice and this guide is for informational purposes only. For complex events or large contracts, consider consulting a legal professional. All disputes relating to off-platform agreements are the responsibility of the parties involved — EventConnective handles disputes relating to platform participation, no-shows, and review integrity only.

      Booking Helpers

Button-driven automations that run when you click them. Helpers appear on event pages based on the event’s booking status.

      New Helper

      Untitled Helper

      Step 1

      Basics

Identify the helper and customize how its button looks.

Internal name shown in lists and menus.
Text shown on the button in the event action bar. Leave blank to use the helper name.
This is how the button will appear on event pages.
      Step 2

      When to Show

Control when this helper appears on an event page.

The helper will be recommended when an event reaches this booking status.
Limit to specific event types, or leave all unchecked to apply to all.
Inactive helpers are hidden from event pages but preserved.
Uncheck to make this a background-only helper (can only be chained from another helper).
      Step 3

      Actions

What runs when the helper is clicked. Actions run in order, top to bottom.

      Step 4

      After This Runs

Optionally chain another helper to run after this one completes.

The chained helper will run automatically after this one completes. Chaining execution ships in a future update.

Email Logos Used in email headers & dark mode

Upload two versions of your logo so emails look great in any mail client. EventConnective uses <picture> with prefers-color-scheme where supported, so Apple Mail and iOS Outlook automatically show the right one.
